TAG reopens Value submissions with a ten-card minimum and a capacity limit

TAG’s October 20 tracker reports approximately 99% of its backlog completed. Its new Value-tier opening is conditional on capacity; that headline does not establish an individual order’s shipping date.

Primary tracker checked October 22, 2026. Operational progress, availability plans and order guidance are attributed to TAG; no independent backlog audit, service purchase, turnaround testing or current Value price quote.

WHY IT MATTERS

Treat the ten-card minimum, capacity-controlled opening and your own service terms as separate checks. TAG’s internal backlog progress is useful context, but it is not a current price quote or an individual shipping guarantee.

What the new opening actually promises

TAG’s October 20 update says it has completed approximately 99% of the backlog measured against its peak and is opening a new Value Tier with a ten-card minimum submission. The company attributes the progress figure to its internal backlog reporting. We have not independently audited those operational numbers or submitted an order to test the service.

The material qualification is capacity. TAG says Value will remain available only as capacity allows, with service levels potentially paused or limited when incoming volume threatens the published turnaround window. An announcement that a tier is open does not establish that it will still be purchasable when a collector reaches checkout.

Keep a backlog percentage separate from your own order

The reported 99% is a company-wide recovery measure, not the percentage complete for a particular submission. A collector with an existing order needs the actual order record and current support guidance. The tracker explains that orders move at different speeds because identification, order size, quality review and imaging issues can differ. A later order finishing first does not by itself establish what happened to an earlier one.

The page also says turnaround estimates are not guarantees. Its order guidance distinguishes the date marked RECEIVED in the portal from an estimated completion date calculated from the service level. That is a reason to retain the received date and purchased terms, rather than treating the latest public recovery percentage as a promise that an individual parcel has shipped.

Do not borrow the price from an older reopening

The same long page retains an August 26 entry for an August 27 limited TAG Score drop, including its own price, estimated turnaround and insurance description. Those historical terms are not a quote for the new October Value Tier. This report does not transplant them into the current offer or supply a Value price that the October 20 update does not state.

For a new submission, check the current service page, card eligibility, minimum count, turnaround estimate and applicable fees together before choosing. Ten cards is the stated minimum, not proof that ten cards in a collection should all be graded. Keep the submission decision separate from any hoped-for numerical grades or resale proceeds.

Use the order-specific support route

For a particular problem, TAG asks customers to use its support channel with the order number and a clear description. It warns that duplicate tickets and messages across multiple channels can slow responses. The public tracker is useful for understanding the operator’s dated policy and capacity statements; it cannot resolve a private order’s identity, condition or status.

Save the version of the service terms that applies to your own purchase. Future tracker updates can change the overall picture without changing what you originally ordered. This report concerns the dated reopening and its limits, not an independently measured speed comparison with another grader.
