PSA Vault’s October 29 shipping plan makes the shipment’s declared total matter

The FAQ schedules value-based Premium Insured Shipping, extra-item and international charges. Early withdrawal remains a separate cost, while a lower declared value also limits the stated coverage.

Primary undated FAQ checked October 15, 2026; October 29 is its stated future effective date. No earlier-rate comparison, account withdrawal, shipment, claim or quote was independently tested.

WHY IT MATTERS

Keep total declared shipment value, item count, destination and each card’s vaulting date together. The October 29 shipping tier is only one part of the withdrawal decision, and declared value also limits stated coverage.

Event date: . This article’s publication date is shown separately above.

Price the shipment, not just one card

PSA’s current FAQ says Premium Insured Shipping for items leaving PSA Vault starts October 29, 2026. The stated rate uses the total declared value of everything in the shipment. For a collector planning delivery, the relevant record is therefore the complete withdrawal list rather than the value of a single favorite card.

The FAQ is an undated live page. This report identifies its future effective date without calling the policy a newly published October 15 announcement or claiming a measured increase over an earlier tariff. No withdrawal or checkout was tested.

The published US tiers

The FAQ gives the following US Premium Insured Shipping amounts, followed by a custom-quote tier. Read them as the published shipping component, not a complete quote for every destination or vaulting history.

US-dollar ranges and rates stated in PSA’s FAQ for the October 29, 2026 plan; additional applicable charges are separate.

Count the additional charges separately

For a shipment containing more than ten items, PSA says it adds $0.99 for each additional item. International orders use the US rate plus an international handling fee: $24.99 for Canada or $31.99 for other international destinations. This statement is not a promise that PSA supports every address or settles every import charge.

The same withdrawal answer separately states a $4.99 early-withdrawal fee per item removed within 90 days of initial vaulting. A shipping-tier calculation does not replace that item-by-item timing check. Save each card’s vaulting date beside the proposed shipment rather than assuming a batch has one shared age.

A declared value also affects coverage

PSA says checkout prefills item values using its estimation tools, allows adjustments before shipping and requests a value where no estimate exists. The FAQ states that loss or transit-damage compensation is limited to the value entered and cannot exceed the item’s fair market value. It expressly warns that lowering a value lowers coverage.

Do not treat a lower declaration as a cost-saving step without considering that stated limit. Keep the exact card, grade, certification and supporting value record together. An operator estimate, your declared amount and a later completed sale are different pieces of evidence; none should silently replace the others.

Confirm the actual withdrawal terms before acting

For a planned shipment on or after October 29, check the then-current FAQ and quote, the combined declared value, item count, destination and any early-withdrawal charges. Before that date, this announced schedule alone does not establish which quote an actual request will receive.

The report does not verify account-level eligibility, insurance claims or fulfillment. Its practical purpose is to separate the tariff’s value tier from the additional charges and the declared-value coverage limit, so the full delivery decision stays attached to the cards being moved.
