Evergreen physical-card guide checked October 8, 2026. Publisher specifications and stated frequency were reviewed; no packs were opened, card independently authenticated or live retailer inventory confirmed.

WHY IT MATTERS

Match the named treatment and actual card language first; an eligible booster format offers a possibility, not a promised exact card.

Write the desired version before choosing a pack

Reality Fracture’s collecting guide distinguishes the printing treatment from the language printed on a booster. That difference matters if your goal is a particular physical version rather than simply a card with the same name. Start a target row with the card name, set, card number, treatment, foil type and card language. Then compare that row with the format where Wizards says the version can appear.

This is evergreen guidance based on Wizards’ September 8 product breakdown. It does not describe a new October 8 announcement, current shop inventory or an independently tested opening. Nor does it describe the digital versions on Arena or Magic Online. The physical product rules below cannot establish a digital account’s ownership or paper-redemption rights.

Shattered mirror does not identify the foil by itself

Wizards says non-foil shattered mirror cards can appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. The facet foil shattered mirror treatment, however, appears only in Collector Boosters and is always in English. Buying a differently localized Collector Booster therefore does not produce a translated facet foil shattered mirror card.

For a single-card listing, confirm whether the offered copy is non-foil or facet foil rather than accepting shattered mirror as a complete description. Ask for clear front-and-back images and the printed card number. The shared presentation does not make the two finishes interchangeable, and a photograph’s shine alone is an incomplete specification.

Japan Showcase follows a different language rule

Traditional foil and fracture foil Japan Showcase cards are also Collector Booster treatments, according to the same guide. For this set, Japan Showcase cards in Japanese Collector Boosters are always Japanese; those in non-Japanese Collector Boosters are always English. Japan Showcase is the treatment’s name, not proof that every copy has Japanese text.

Keep this separate from facet foil shattered mirror’s English-only rule. A checklist that records only Japanese pack or special foil loses the distinction that determines the intended version. When comparing offers, preserve both the named treatment and the actual card language; do not substitute a rule remembered from another Magic set.

Serialized Bloodline Recollector is an opportunity, not a box promise

The double rainbow foil serialized Bloodline Recollector has 500 numbered versions. Wizards says it can appear only in Reality Fracture Collector Boosters, across booster languages, while the card itself is always English. The serialized version is mechanically identical to its non-serialized counterpart; the collecting distinction is the particular treatment and numbering.

The guide says a serialized Bloodline Recollector appears in less than 1% of Collector Boosters. That is a bounded published frequency, not an exact probability for a particular serial number and not a guarantee that a purchased box contains one. Do not turn 500 numbered copies into an assumed number of packs to buy, or confuse eligibility to appear with an included hit.

Keep format research separate from availability

A useful decision note can be short: exact target, required finish, acceptable language, eligible format and the evidence date. If the goal is a single specified version, compare a fully identified single-card offer with the uncertainty of opening an eligible format. This guide does not establish which route is cheaper or assign a future value to a scarce printing.

Wizards separately published a regional delay notice, updated September 28. Its logistics descriptions are fluid, so a format’s contents cannot prove that the product is currently stocked in your region. Check the retailer’s current availability and order terms before purchasing, and retain the distinction between a product specification and an actual offer.
