A player agreement, with products still to come
Panini America and MLB Players, Inc. announced a non-exclusive, multi-year baseball-card agreement on September 28 covering every active Minor League Baseball player. The first product scheduled under the deal is Three and Two Baseball, planned for November 2026.
The announcement also names Donruss Elite Extra Edition and Prizm Baseball as brands that will feature minor-league players. Panini expects as many as 12 products annually featuring those players alongside collegiate and retired players. That is a production plan, rather than a completed release calendar.
The stated scope is player licensing. The announcement does not establish team-logo or league-logo rights, and it should not be read as an exclusive MiLB card agreement.
Build the checklist when the product details arrive
For a prospect collector, the useful change is a broader announced route to finding minor-league players across Panini’s baseball brands. A license covering every active player does not promise that every player will appear in a particular set.
Product configurations and availability are due closer to each release. There is no exact November day, price, full player checklist or per-box autograph guarantee in this announcement. Those details will determine whether Three and Two fits a player collection or a particular break format.
Keep the release on a watchlist, then compare the final card numbers, parallels and checklist against the players you actually collect. The agreement alone does not establish scarcity, resale value or demand.
