WHY IT MATTERS

Check the registration account before attending and the relevant achievement afterward.

Prepare the account before the event

Wizards says sanctioned WPN attendance can now advance Arena achievements when event registration uses the same Wizards account as the game. Progress appears on the next Arena launch; attendance before October 1 does not count.

That makes account continuity the useful first check. Before setting off, confirm which account holds your Arena collection and use it for store registration. Keeping a note of the event and registration account also gives you something specific to check if progress does not appear.

The official Companion app supports joining store events, viewing matches and tracking results. Its product page says a Wizards account is required for in-store events. It also supports home tournaments, so using Companion alone should not be treated as proof that an event qualifies for the new WPN achievements.

Read the goal before planning another visit

The examples include 1,000 gold for favoriting a store and a Draft token for attending three in-person Booster Draft events. Some other goals require a store with Legendary Store status.

For a collector deciding between another local draft and an evening online, the reward is best treated as an extra benefit of an event they already want to attend. Compare the admission cost, travel and available time with your own plans before changing them for an achievement.

Control which stores contact you

Arena’s Favorite Stores screen has separate opt-ins for store inbox messages and event carousels. Individual stores can be muted even when those features are enabled.

Review those settings once you have chosen the stores you want to follow. A useful collection routine can be simple: keep one account for registration, record the events you attend and check the relevant goal afterward.
